HUMANA is a local non-governmental organization, officially registered in the Federal Ministry of Justice on January 19, 2000, as a non-political, non-profit, humanitarian organization.
The aim of the organization is rendering help to the displaced persons from Kosovo & Metohija deprived of their rights, and our mission involves a safe return of such people to their homes.
HUMANA was established spontaneously at the end of June 1999 by the people coming from Kosovo & Metohija as a reaction to the dramatic breach of human rights of the people expelled from their homes. In the most difficult situation were the people who remained confined within the ghettos in Kosovo & Metohija and it is them who needed help of all kinds.
HUMANA has been continuously working on collecting of data and evidence on breach of human rights in the region of Kosovo & Metohija, particularly in Orahovac, Velika Hoca and Gorazdevac, making them known to both local and world-wide public via mass media
