The project in process is :Regional Information Exchange Network for Private-Public cooperation in Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Treatment and Prevention. The goal of the project is to rase awareness of medical professionals , local authorities and Health Department, regarding the problems, treatment methodologies and resources for institutional and private treatment and prevention of drug addiction and alcoholism. Objectives : -to rase the level of information for professionals and instions treating alcoholics and drug addicts, -to provide a means of providing information and support to community members, professionals ,local authorities regarding Alcoholism and Drug Addiction as a disease and modern and effective methods of reabilitation. -to identify initiatives in this field -to establish and mentain a Regional Network encouraging the cooperation of the public and private sector in theTreatment and Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction to involve professionals and concerned leaders ,local authorities and interested governamental representatives and informal helping groups -to establish linkage between N.G.O.health professionals sector and governmental health estabilshments and to encourage future dialogues about prevention and tratment approaches, Type of activities .public workshops,Radio and TV programs,Advocacy campaigns,printing folders on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Future project: needs assestment and preparation for an after care facility program in the field.
